Feedback from NomadHaus Nepal Guests
"Choosing to come and work remotely at the NomadHaus has been one of the best decisions I've made.
The co-working villa, the beautiful setting, and the community have made my days here some of the most memorable and unique. The flatmates I had were amazing, we became great friends and I truly enjoyed the experience. Every day feels like a new adventure waiting to unfold. Danny is a wonderful and capable host, and shares his passion for travel with the group. He was an excellent guide, and makes every effort to ensure everyone gets the most of their experience." -Emilia, Poland

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Do you have a power generator as a backup?
Yes, the property has a solar backup to avoid power outages.
Q. What's the living situation like? Are the bathrooms shared or private?
Each room is private with private bathrooms. In total, there are 45 rooms at the center, of which about half are in the main building and half are detached as villas in the garden area.
Q. How's the WiFI speed like?
The WiFi is strong and stable to use for most work, including voice and video calls. SIM cards via NCell can also be purchased as a security guarantee for about $10 and are very reliable for any purpose.
Q. Do the rooms have chairs and desks to work from?
Chairs, desks, and tables are available in the rooms. There is also the outdoor garden area, dining room, and extra coworking room to work from.
Q. Is there a kitchen / somewhere to cook?
There is a kitchen, dining room, and refrigerator for storing food. However, except in very rare cases, most of the cooking is performed by the staff. The cooking staff prepares complimentary breakfast every morning, and lunch and dinner options are also available.
Q. How are the living standards? Is there clean water, road access, groceries, and so on?
Yes, you can find everything you would expect to live a comfortable lifestyle in and around Pokhara. There are supermarkets and grocery stores in the city, roads running through the town and surrounding areas, and the water in Nepal is some of the cleanest in the world, coming directly from mountain springs in the Himalayas.
Q. How many people are you hoping to gather?
We want to gather enough people to create a little digital nomad family :) At the minimum, as this is a large property, we are looking to host 10-12 enthusiastic and positive nomads… though there may possibly be more.
Q. What are the criteria/prerequisites other than being able to pay to join?
The ideal people would be positive remote workers / nomads who are open-minded and excited about the opportunity to live in paradise with likeminded individuals :)
Q. Can you share the location?
The location is Pokhara Yoga School and Retreat Center. It's near Sedi village, just on a hill on the northern edge of Pokhara. It takes about ten minutes to walk to Phewa lake.
Q. How can people get around day to day?
The town is very walkable, there is also a bus stop where the bus goes up and down through the main Pokhara town for 20 Nepali rupees (about 18 cents). You can also use the ridesharing app “In Drive” for motorbike or car taxi which is very inexpensive. There are also scooters and bicycles available for rent. We can also rent a couple of scooters as a shared cost for the house that everyone can use and have access to.
Q. Is there access to kitchen for food/coffee/tea/water, etc. outside of dining hours?
The dining room is open from 9am - 9pm with access to coffee, tea, and water and there are also kettles available for boiling hot water in the rooms.
Q. What measures do you have in place to ensure that no incidents take place?
Guests must be respectful of the rules and energy of the center. Legitimate complaints will be taken seriously and addressed according to the severity. We aim to create a positive, supportive environment where everyone can feel at ease.
Q. When will this be starting?
We officially opened our doors for Nomadhaus Nepal on May 15, 2024 and will be open for future groups primarily in December, January, February, and May, June, July, and August. For any given month, we need to collect a group a minimum of at least 5-10 people to go ahead with the co-living project.
Q. It sounds great! How do I reserve a spot?
To reserve a room, you can book directly on this page! We ask that you make a deposit early to reserve your spot at the retreat. The early bird price for spring 2025 when reserved more than (60) days before the start of the retreat is $675 per person with breakfast included. Within 60 days, the cost is $750 per person.
Q. Can you accommodate couples / a small child?
Yes! Many of the rooms also have extra beds. Although the price of the retreat is for individuals, couples can come as two individuals for just 30% more than the regular price.
